Scotland Trusted Trader

Trading Standards Trusted Trader schemes are the "go-to" list of local vetted traders. Schemes are Council backed and supported by Police Scotland and Citizens Advice.

Each participating Council operates their own scheme and the ones below are hosted and managed by trustedtrader.scot. Choose a scheme to learn more or find a local trader.

Edinburgh Trusted Trader is the official "go to" list of vetted traders, backed by The City of Edinburgh Council and supported by Police Scotland.

The Edinburgh Trusted Trader Scheme can help you find honest and reliable traders who have been fully vetted by Edinburgh Trading Standards.

All traders will display feedback from genuine customers broken down by:

• value for money
• customer service or reliability
• quality of service or product
• likelihood to use again or recommend.

This allows residents to make an informed choice based on the experience of others. All scheme members have to follow a strict Code of Practice.
